In order to develop excellent talents who can immediately join the workforce, we provide training and education through participation in academic conferences and collaboration with industry and academia.
For Artner, securing excellent talents has always been a top priority. We have been actively participating in relevant academic conferences to improve our skills while also deepening our friendships with the staff at the universities that we visit. We are committed to developing industry-academia collaboration by combining the advanced technology possessed by universities with Artner’s practical technology.
Part-time lecturing
Artner seeks to utilize its technology in society, while universities want their students to acquire practical skills. Based on such mutual interest, our training and education staff started to work as part-time lecturers, giving lectures at universities. Currently, the lectures are centered on mechanical drawing, supplemented with knowledge that is immediately useful in real-world situations.

Collaboration with academic societies and organizations
At Artner, we believe that human resources are our single greatest capital, so we devote a great deal of time to the training and education of our engineers to develop their skills after they are hired. We are the only company in our industry that has regularly participated in the meetings of the Japan Society for Design Engineering, in addition to making presentations at academic conferences. We will continue to maintain such commitment, actively participating in various academic conferences and deepening our cooperation with organizations.

Artner documents the training systems it has implemented over the years along with their results, and makes them available as papers intended for educators and business people. These papers are used not only by our clients, but also by a wider range of people in the domain of talent development, thereby contributing to society as a whole. The requests and opinions we receive from such stakeholders are fed back to our training programs to ensure that we are always practicing the most up-to-date skill development initiatives on a daily basis.

Publication of educational materials
With the cooperation of university partners, Artner has compiled the knowledge gained from its in-house training systems into publications that cover four areas: machinery, plastic and sheet metal, electronics, and semiconductors. We will continue to compile our accumulated expertise into books and use them for education and training. We are also planning to create publications in the fields of information processing, chemistry, biotechnology, and others. Our practical education textbooks, containing our expertise on practical education, are used not only for employee training but also at many universities.
2007 Eiji Mutoh Award winner
SEKIGUCHI Sozo, Artner’s President and CEO, and HIRANO Shigeo, Professor at Tokyo City University, received the 2007 Eiji Mutoh Award (Valuable Publishing Award) from the Japan Society for Design Engineering.
This very prestigious award was given to celebrate the publication of three textbooks on the concept of practical design techniques (mechanical design, electrical control design, and plastic and sheet metal), which are used for the training of our employees. These books were highly regarded as they were expected to serve as a guidepost for the development of design engineering.
