Artner Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “the Company” or “we”) respects the human rights and dignity of all applicants and job seekers (hereinafter “job seekers”) and conducts fair, equitable, and highly transparent recruitment activities. In every situation related to our recruitment activities, we will never tolerate any form of harassment, including sexual harassment, workplace bullying (power harassment), employment discrimination, and so-called “owa-hara” (pressuring candidates to end their job search), and we will ensure an environment in which job seekers can take part in our selection process fairly and with peace of mind.
This policy applies to all of the Company’s recruitment activities, including interviews, information sessions, internships, visits with alumni employees, and communication with candidates after a job offer has been made.
We define “recruitment harassment” as conduct such as the following that occurs in connection with recruitment activities:
・Sexual remarks or conduct, inappropriate physical contact, or inappropriate comments about a person’s appearance or attire
・Intimidating words or conduct, detaining candidates for long periods, or exerting undue pressure on their career choices
・Obstructing candidates from declining a job offer, or forcing them to withdraw from other companies’ selection processes (owa-hara)
・Discriminatory treatment based on gender, age, nationality, disability, family circumstances, or other such factors
・Collecting or asking about private information unrelated to the job search
To prevent recruitment harassment, the Company has established the following rules of conduct for employees involved in recruitment activities:
・Venues for online or in-person meetings are limited, in principle, to company facilities, school facilities, and cafés or restaurants that are not private rooms.
・In principle, meetings are held on weekdays and end by 8:00 p.m.
・Contact with job seekers is made only through company business phones, company email addresses, or company-managed applications; exchanging employees’ personal social media accounts or contact details is prohibited.
・Where necessary, two or more employees attend to ensure transparency of conduct.
・In the selection process, we comply with the points requiring consideration set out in “Toward Fair Recruitment and Selection” (Kosei na Saiyo Senko o Mezashite), published by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
・Providing regular harassment prevention training for employees and interviewers involved in recruitment
・Preparing guidelines that clearly set out examples of acceptable and unacceptable interview questions
・Communicating this policy throughout the Company and ensuring that it is fully understood
We have established a desk where job seekers can seek consultation with peace of mind if they experience inappropriate conduct by a Company employee during recruitment activities. The content of consultations is kept strictly confidential, and job seekers will not be subjected to any disadvantageous treatment, such as any effect on our selection process or its outcome, on the grounds that they sought consultation.
