Customer Harassment Prevention Policy and Initiatives

1. Basic Policy

Artner Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “the Company” or “we”) responds sincerely to the opinions and requests we receive from our business partners, clients, and other customers (hereinafter “customers”). At the same time, we take a firm stand against customer harassment, meaning any words, conduct, or demands that go beyond what is socially acceptable and that harm the character, dignity, or working environment of our employees.

Respecting the human rights of both our customers and our employees, we have established this policy with the aim of maintaining a safe and healthy working environment so that we can continue to build sound and positive partnerships with our customers.

2. Definition of Customer Harassment

We define customer harassment as words or conduct by customers in which the demands made lack reasonable grounds, or the means or manner used to pursue those demands are socially inappropriate, and which may harm the working environment of our employees.

3. Main Examples of Customer Harassment (*The following are examples only and are not exhaustive.)

・Verbal abuse, slander or defamation, intimidation, threats, and acts of violence
・Words or conduct that attack a person’s character or that are discriminatory or sexual in nature
・Prolonged or persistent demands, or repetition of the same demands
・Unreasonable demands for apologies, punishment, or monetary compensation
・Slander, defamation, or dissemination of information on social media or elsewhere on the internet
・Unauthorized entry into work areas or restraint of employees
・Coercion to perform work beyond the scope of the contract

4. Our Response to Customer Harassment

Where we determine that conduct constitutes customer harassment, we will give the highest priority to the physical and mental safety of our employees and may suspend or decline to continue our response. In serious cases, we will take strict action in cooperation with the police, legal advisors, and other external specialist organizations.

5. Internal Initiatives

・Clarifying our policy and procedures for responding to customer harassment
・Preparing manuals for employees and providing education and training
・Establishing systems for consultation and reporting and for cooperation with external specialist organizations, and providing support for employees’ physical and mental well-being
・Considering and continuously reviewing measures to prevent recurrence
・Prohibiting disadvantageous treatment of employees on the grounds that they have sought consultation or made a report
